The problem is not in letting go.
The problem is not in hanging on.
The problem is becoming locked.

Of becoming locked in greed,
Of becoming locked in fear,
Of becoming locked in delusion.

Let go, and find something new,
Hang on, and create something new.
Beware of becoming locked.

Release the lock on fear,
Release the lock on greed,
Release the lock on delusion.

We are what we are in relationship,
And in relationship we care for other.
But are responsible only for ourselves.

In our search for a lover, we find a friend.
In our search for a friend, we find a lover.
And the dance of relationship begins.

Some of what we want is there, some not.
And some of what we don’t want is there.
How do we know?

Let go, and find something new,
And they move toward us,
And fill our desire.

Hang on, and create something new,
And they let go, they change,
And fill our desire.

Let go, and find something new,
And they move away from us,
And we find someone new.

Hang on, and create something new,
And they hang on, they don’t change,
And we find someone new.

And then it changes,
As it always does,
Do we continue the dance?

And so it goes, we let go,
And so it goes, we hang on.
Beware of becoming locked.
